One initial investment led to holidays for generations

Jane and John Greaves became Bondholders in 1995 after Jane’s parents both sadly passed away, and they enjoyed their first HPB holiday at Le Manoir du Hilguy, the Bond’s French 18th century chateau in Brittany.

They took their four-year old son Alex with them, and when their younger son Nick was born, they enjoyed exploring the UK and further afield thanks to HPB. “As the boys grew up, many of the sites offered them the safety and freedom to take their first steps towards independence,” says Jane. The boys went off to choose activities and clubs without their parents having to constantly keep watch. They inherited John and Jane’s love of walking too, probably while they were staying at Rosedale in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

Earlier this year, the family all got together again for an HPB holiday at HPB’s latest property, Northway Court in Devon, which is a beguiling mix of traditional farm cottage exteriors with contemporary interior décor and styling.

“We loved the property as not only was it very well appointed and spacious, but it retained a lot of the original character from the farm buildings. It accommodated six adults plus baby with ease. The site is well placed for visiting the many wonderful attractions that make North Devon the perfect family holiday destination.”

Alex and Nick brought along their wives, along with the clan’s first grandchild, six-month-old Josiah. “Who’d have thought that, almost thirty years on, we’d be introducing our gorgeous little grandson to the Holiday Property Bond,” laughs Jane.

Jane and John are planning to pass the Bond on to their children. Their original investment back in 1995 has led to countless family holidays, and that legacy looks set to continue down the generations too.
