Coreggia, Puglia, Italy
The trulli of Alberobello are traditional round limestone dwellings with whitewashed walls and interesting conical roofs. These buildings are individual to the region, and are constructed using a mortarless prehistoric building technique thought to have originated from the need to dismantle them at short notice. They are now protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the whole site dates back as far as the 14th century.
Five of the historic buildings currently provide fantastic holiday properties. The small white one-storey houses are traditional and quaint from the outside, though inside they are fully furnished, modern and charming. These five trulli properties are located within the protected Alberobello World Heritage Site and have been restored to a high standard. Uneven drystone walls criss-cross the neighbouring countryside, providing authentic charm. Three of the five properties are one-bedroom and are ideal for couples enjoying a romantic break; the fourth is a two bedroom property sleeping four and the final property is the largest – with three bedrooms it is capable of sleeping six guests.
Facilities/equipment
Cosy and quaint, these traditional stone dwellings have been beautifully restored and are fully furnished with comfortable, elegant details. The kitchens are equipped with all you'll need but the two larger properties go one step further, and come complete with a dishwasher too.
All properties feature an en-suite and, for the two with more than one bedroom, there are additional shower room facilities too. Each property has the use of a terrace area so guests can sit out and enjoy the sun.
