Walks around Rocha Brava

These walks from the Holiday Property Bond clubhouse at Rocha Brava, have been collected and walked by Bondholders over the last fifteen years.

They are all within a small radius and where motoring to the start is required this will be no more than an hours drive and mostly a lot less. An Algarve road map will give an indication of the distances involved. Walking times and distances have not been given apart from a few at the beginning. Two to three hours is normally ample time but please remember that these are rambles to admire the views and not route marches.

"Rons Rambles" are a well established weekly winter event (sometimes led by other Bondholders) and have to be stopped occasionally for the "walking cocktail party" to use their eyes!

Regular walkers will know that sensible walking shoes, a hat, a drink, a snack, wet weather gear and sometimes long trousers (to avoid scratched legs through undergrowth) are advisable. Telescopic walking poles are very popular these days and certainly help on the rugged rocks of cliff top walks.

Most of the walks have points of interest and many have spectacular views. It is nice to go in groups and if there are Bondholders who can lead these or similar walks please inform the office at Casa Bonina and put a notice on the board.

Newcomers to Rocha Brava will find that some of these walks will take them to places not so easy to find on a short stay, but please remember that all walks are at the walkers own risk and neither a leader nor H.P.B. can be held responsible for any accidents.

Happy walking!

These walks are available from the information room at Casa Bonina.
